Every new client used to arrive through an introduction. Seven months of buyer-focused content later, the firm was showing up in front of Amazon sellers in the United States, the United Kingdom, and Canada who had never heard its name.

Challenge A respected Amazon seller consultancy won almost all its business through referrals. Its website was found only by people who already knew its name.
Solution Research the questions Amazon sellers ask before hiring help, answer them in expert guides, and connect every guide to a service and a next step.
Result Impressions grew 45x in seven months, quarterly clicks doubled, and the firm reached sellers in 215 countries and regions, led by 231,717 impressions in the United States.

If your business runs on referrals, you know the pattern. Good months follow good introductions, and quiet months follow quiet ones. This case study shows how one firm broke that pattern with content, and what the numbers looked like as it happened.

The client helps Amazon sellers grow: wholesale account setup, brand approvals, account management, listings, and PPC. Its clients rated it highly, and most new work came from people those clients recommended.

Google Search Console showed exactly that. From 19 June to 31 December 2025, the site earned 675 clicks from only 5,736 impressions, an 11.77% click-through rate. Rates that high happen when almost everyone searching already knows who you are.

Signal in the Data What It Told Us
Searches for the firm's own name drove 902 clicks at a 24.2% click-through rate Referred prospects were looking the firm up after an introduction
Pakistan, the firm's home market, sent 56% of all clicks Visibility stayed inside the network where its reputation already lived
Only 5,736 impressions in six and a half months Sellers searching for help with Amazon problems were not seeing the firm at all

The goal was not more traffic for its own sake. It was to put the firm’s expertise in front of sellers at the moment they were deciding what to do next, then give them a reason to get in touch. Growfactor ran the work in four steps.

We researched what Amazon sellers search when they are weighing a decision: which account type to choose, whether a tool or service is trustworthy, and how to solve a specific problem. Two patterns stood out: comparison searches and “is it legit” searches.

Both are asked by people close to spending money, and both reward a firm with real hands-on experience.

We built a content library around those questions, written from the firm’s own experience running seller accounts. Each guide gave a straight answer first, then the detail an experienced operator would add.

This approach follows Google’s guidance on creating helpful, people-first content: content written by someone with real experience, for a reader with a real question.

A guide that answers a question and stops there wins a reader, not a client. Each article linked to the matching service page, to the firm’s testimonials, and to the contact page, using descriptive anchor text. A reader comparing account types, for example, was pointed to the firm’s wholesale and account services, with proof from past clients one click away.

The library grew month by month. We tracked non-branded rankings, new markets and visits to the contact, testimonial, and service pages, not only total traffic.

The Guides That Opened the Door

Four guides did most of the early work, each answering a question sellers ask before they commit.
Guide Topic Clicks Impressions Avg Position
Is an Amazon automation app legit? (tool review) 304 79,000 8.0
Amazon Business account vs personal account 150 47,260 9.2

New Markets Without New Introductions

Referrals kept the firm close to home. Content took it to the markets where most Amazon sellers are.

Readers Moving Toward a Conversation

Content only matters if it leads somewhere. The pages a prospect visits just before getting in touch are now earning search traffic of their own.
Page Clicks Avg Position
Contact page 90 4.0
Wholesale services page 32 5.4
Testimonials page 30 5.4
Wholesale brand approval page 25 11.7

Questions We Hear From Consulting Firms

These are the questions referral-based firms ask most before starting content SEO.

How Long Does Content SEO Take to Work for a Consulting Firm?

For this firm, the first guides went live in late 2025, impressions jumped in January 2026, and the best month for clicks came in July 2026. Plan for three to six months before the growth is clear.

Start with comparison and trust questions, the searches buyers make right before they choose. They bring fewer visitors than broad topics but far more of the right ones.

No, and it should not. Referrals stay valuable. Content adds a second, steady source of prospects who find you on their own.
